The original home was built in the Victorian Period. Wyoming sought to preserve and reinvigorate the grandeur of the existing home whilst providing a contemporary extension. The formality of the planning was retained across the old and new. However, the spaces introduces a contemporary relevance across the different areas. The minimalist approach to finishes and materiality allowed the delicate features to be appreciated. In turn the sleek lines brings an elevated sense of luxury throughout the house. The internal spaces encourages both large and intimate gatherings whilst the new landscaping is celebrated in each views. The new addition creates a sculptural form with steel plates and angled walls, conjuring a play with light and shadow. Wyoming is given another breath of fresh air into the current century where time is rolled back ready to take on the next phase of its life.
