ProjectLinks Courtyard House

Links Courtyard house is a building that sits on the edge of a links style coastal golf course, tucked in behind a stand of Cypress trees. The neat rectilinear plan divides the site longitudinally into equal parts of house and garden. The house benefits greatly from the golf course outlook. However, in its own way, it also contributes to the landscape experience from the golf course side.

Restraint is also evident in the neutral palette of materials used: grey stained timber, cement render, dark steel and oak boards. The single storey linear plan and northern orientation prove to be an economical approach for efficient structure. This allows for efficiency in the integration of building services. This home maximises the holiday experience via rigorous yet relaxed architectural and landscape planning.
